Summer’s nice, isn’t it? The sea, the mountain, holidays… Students go on holiday, workers go on holiday! But do you think that a tournament goes on holiday? That an INTERNATIONAL tournament that hosts more than 2500 youths from all over the world every year, goes on holiday?
Well, the answer’s no. The International Tournament “Città della Pace” doesn’t go on holiday. Never. When did we meet last? Oh, yeah: the wonderful fireworks at Quercia Stadium, on the 27th of March. What did you do since that day? We didn’t stop for a minute. The following day we were back there to clean up after our little invasion. And even that day, we were already thinking: wow, next tournament is the 30th one.
Yes, the Peace Tournament 2017 will be the 30th. We hadn’t time to lose: the 30th edition must be unforgettable. A week after, the staff met again: first comments about the last edition, but above all, the first ideas for 2017. A few weeks later, another meeting: other ideas, other projects, then everybody went to work, everyone with his task, everyone with a 30th TDP to organize.
No, we can’t tell you anything, not yet. But we can ensure you that we’re doing everything possible to give you a unique edition. Be ready. However, one of the most important news is just in front of you now: in these summer days, the very new website of the TDP was born! It’s still a baby, don’t scare him: he’s growing day by day thanks to the amazing work of our staff. Now he needs you: the world wide web is a dangerous and big world and our site is a little bit shy: share it in the social networks, send it to your friends, to your family, to anyone!
This is only the first of the many and wonderful news that are waiting for you in the 30th edition of the International Tournament Città della Pace: you’ll never forget it, that’s sure.
